In the future we could carry smart contact lenses such as those used by secret agents in the movies. Samsung has announced that it has been granted a patent in South Korea for contact lenses that project images directly into the eye of the wearer.
The lens is the built-in camera and sensors that control blinking, reports blogSamMobile.
Also, have antennas that send content to an external device such as a smartphone for processing photos.
Samsung has started to develop smart contact lenses in order to make a better atmosphere than having users wearing Google glasses. The lenses will have protection, but visibility will be better for them.
Giving commands by blinking is not completely out of the realm of possibility. There is an add-on Google glasses which allowed users to take pictures blink.
Samsung is not the only company that is interested in the production of smart contact lenses.
Google has two patents contact lens with flexible electronics and sensors that read chemicals in the lacrimal fluid of the eye of the person wearing them, and determines the blood sugar levels.
Samsung has applied for the patent in 2014, the same as Google permitted to patent in the US.The fact that Samsung received permission for a patent, does not mean you will make a product because many never saw the light of day even though they get all the necessary permits.
